The zither and lute play under the throne, all is serene and ful.
The bell, drum, fine food and jade are not so precious;
But to be drunk and never wake is what I wish for.
Since ancient times, the wise and virtuous have all been lonely;
Only the drunkards have left their names behind.
The Marquis of Chen once held a grand feast at Ping乐;
With a thousand cups of wine at ten thousand a piece, they laughed and chattered freely.
Why do you say there’s not enough money, my host?
Just go buy some wine to pour for my guest.
With five-color horses and a thousand-dollar robe,
Call the boy to take them out and exchange for fine wine;
Let’s drink together to dispel the sorrow of ten thousand years.
